The Workholding Platform

100% USA Made

The Orange Vise body, carrier slides, and master jaws are machined from continuously cast Dura-Bar® ductile cast iron. All four sides are hardened and precision ground as standard.

Quick Change

All Master jaws, jaw plates and even the carrier slide can be removed or installed within minutes or even faster (depending on your active configuration), all with +/- 13 micron repeatability.

Reliable Performance

The Orange Vise main screw is machined from high-tensile alloy steel and the threads are completely sealed from contaminants inside the carriers, to prevent chip clogging and consistent control over clamping force.

Flexible & Adaptable

Integrated dovetail clamping system on the Orange Vise master jaws allow you to quickly switch between a large range of jaw options. Use Mitee-Bite TalonGrip™ or VersaGrip™ and dovetailed aluminium soft jaws simultaneously.

Easy Maintenance

Vise and carrier slide can be fully broken down and rebuilt in around 5 minutes with off-the-shelf components and hardware. All current generation components are fully backwards compatible with previous generation Orange Vises.

Local Support

As the fully authorised distributor for Australia & New Zealand, ChipX provides full local support, and short lead-time spares for any of the Orange Vise models.

modular design

The Orange Vise modular workholding system allows a huge range of configurations to be built very quickly to suit whatever job is at hand. Hard jaws, soft jaws, Carvesmart jaws, pallets, tombstones and more… you name it, Orange Vise has got an option for it.

A year in with two 20” Dual Station vises and the decision to go with Orange Vise has proved to be the right one countless times. The design makes changing between setups quick and easy which not only saves time, it helps make money. If an urgent job comes up in the middle of a production run, I can simply change out the setup and spend less time doing it than I would explaining to my customer why they can’t have their part right now.
