Compression Cutter

These tools’ lower portion of the cutting edge have a helix which applies a vertical upwards force along the tool axis, then the upper portion of the cutting edge apply a downwards force. The result is super clean cut edges on the top and bottom faces of your material, but chip evacuation isn’t as optimal as it would be with a pure up cut cutter.
